Discover the timeless, bucolic landscape of rural Romania as you trek through woodland, rolling hills and open meadows to Bran Fortress, also known as ‘Castle Dracula’.

Located in the Bran Gorge, an important geographical location for the Transylvania region, Bran Castle started life under the Teutonic Knights, eventually passing through the hands of Hungarian Kings, Saxons, Vlad the Impaler, and ultimately Communist rule. Perched on top of a ridge, on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia, the castle provides incredible views of the surrounding valleys, forests, and the historic town of Bran.

Bran Castle now operates as a museum that showcases the history of the region and the art collection of Queen Maria, with guided tours available.
