This project is based at a school in Nawalgarh, Rajasthan. We suggest a minimum of four days to be spent here, with the aim of improving learning and recreational facilities for the school children.
- Re-decorate classrooms and school buildings: paint murals and learning aids for the children and teachers.
- Improve the library facilities: bring donated books and create areas for reading and personal study.
- Improve the educational and recreational areas for all the pupils of the school, including upgrading the premises.
- Organise after-school English or art lessons for the children, arrange team games, such as cricket or football.
Choose from a number of worthwhile tasks, such as painting classrooms, improving libraries and building recreation facilities. There will be plenty of time to interact with the school children, organising after-school English lessons or arranging cricket matches. The time here will develop the pupils' understanding of different cultures, as well as providing much needed support to the school.
