Thanks to decades of intense conservation work, Hluhlue-iMfolozi has the highest population of white rhino anywhere in the world. Famed for its frequent rhino and elephant sightings, this park also offers school groups the chance to encounter cheetah, giraffe, lions, hyena and even leopards.

Under the master tutelage and supervision of a dedicated band of rangers, wardens and biologists, the flora and fauna of Hluhlue-iMfolozi is some of the most prolific anywhere in South Africa. Most noted for its black and white rhino populations, this part of South Africa is home to everything from dung beetles to buffalo, and eagles to jackal.

Divided into two areas, the Hluhlue part of the park is hillier and more rugged, where as the iMfolozi section is distinctly flatter and characterised by grasslands, savannah and woodland. This diversity in geography has led the park to be home to several different biomes which are suited to different species and therefore provides incredibly varied safari experiences.
