Once the ancient capital of Iceland, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir National Park is a melting pot of cultural and topographical history.

A rift between two tectonic plates, its violent geography that makes up the area provides adventurers with incredible landscapes and wonderful views. Granite cliffs, icy rivers, flourishing meadows and snow-capped peaks are scattered across the park, making for picturesque trekking conditions and a wonderful pristine environment for groups to explore.

Thingvellir was home to the Althing, Iceland’s parliament between the 10th and 18th centuries, and is today a protected area, highly regarded by all Icelanders.
