Mavrovo National Park boasts pristine forests, stunning mountains, and a diverse range of wildlife making it the perfect location for school hiking adventures and wildlife conservation projects.

Home to the majority of the remaining population of Eurasian lynx, Mavrovo National Park is an area of pivotal importance for conservation research and wilderness conservation. The main features of Mavrovo are the twisting rivers and creeks, lakes, and of the highest point in Macedonia, Mount Korab (2,764 metres). In the winter, the area turns into the country’s biggest skiing region, and in the summer heat the forests and plains are bursting with life.
