Responsible Tourism

Everyone's Responsibility

Protect the Environment

Responsible Tourism is not a new phenomenon for Schools Worldwide. We have been actively involved in wildlife conservation and community projects for a considerable amount of time now. However, the recent rise in global awareness regarding world climate and associated problems has brought all these terrible issues to the forefront of everyone's mind - and rightly so.

Schools Worldwide, and all the companies within the Worldwide Group, adhere to a common Responsible Tourism policy (Click Here for pdf download). We have always tried to approach our business from a Responsible Tourism perspective and as such, try to use suppliers who have the same outlook and ethos as ourselves. Many of our suppliers have specific projects, which they have initiated within their own communities. Norman Carr Safaris in Zambia, for example, actively supports their local primary school, through which customers are able to make positive contributions to the school by taking much needed supplies and/or funding.

David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation

Extremely significant and beneficial for wildlife has been our work with The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (Click here for more details). Over the years, we have helped to raise in excess of £45,000 for DSWF and their invaluable wildlife conservation work. The annual Festival of Wildlife, initiated in 2004, raises each year, a considerable amount more for DSWF and other local conservation and community projects.

Climate Care

Customers can all make a positive step towards reducing their carbon footprint with each of our trips, by paying the contribution to Climate Care (www.jpmorganclimatecare.com). Climate Care is a company which is able to offset the carbon created by your air journey by investing your money into very tangible, worthwhile global projects, some of which will also significantly improve the lives of local people.
