Our commitment is to providing a personal service for each group we work with and by limiting the number of trips we have travelling each year, we are able to work closely with teachers to deliver a quality itinerary that meets your requirements and the expectations of your group.

We wholly understand the value of personal development through overseas travel and our intention is that each group will encounter a unique educational experience in an alien environment and gain a valuable insight and appreciation of a new country and its culture.

We have a highly skilled team of staff who have travelled the world extensively, worked in the industry for many years and have also been overseas tour leaders and teachers themsleves.

Chris Breen - Director
Chris Breen, Managing Director, Wildilfe Worldwide

Email Chris

Chris was lucky enough to visit Zambia on a number of occasions in the early 1980's and it was this that entrenched within him a love of wildlife, wilderness, photography and travel. Chris managed two small bush camps in the heart of South Luangwa National Park and after prising himself away returned to the UK to work in one of the UK's leading travel agencies tailor-making round-the-world holidays.

The draw of wildlife was too much and after leading numerous trips for another UK tour operator he has since established Wildlife Worldwide in conjunction with David Mills in 1993 and in 1998 jointly set up Walks Worldwide with David Mills and Mike Wynne. Chris has travelled through South and Central America, much of North America, Asia, Australasia and the Pacific however his greatest love is for East and Southern Africa, which he knows in depth and returns to frequently.

Having worked as a teacher in the early 80's, Mike took a 'career break' and began leading tours in Morocco. The attraction of leading opportunities enabled him to gain vast experience of trekking and travelling to the four corners of the world, with a special affiliation for Morocco, where he designed many of the original treks, so many travellers trek today.

He launched Walks Worldwide in 1998, operating and leading private walking trips and a selection of school groups around the world each year. Now he spends much of his time managing all aspects of the business from our spacious head offices in the heart of Ingleton.

Mike has keenly developed the Family and Schools Expedition business, and as a traveller, father and an ex-teacher is well qualified to do so and, despite family and office commitments, still dons his boots with a group in tow.

He then continued to travel through Australasia before reaching the jungles of South East Asia and returning to the UK in 2001 when he redirected his career into the Travel Industry.

Specialising in youth travel, Nick spent two years working for an expedition company, developing itineraries that took him to Belize, Namibia, Venezuela and Zambia, before joining the Worldwide Group in 2005 where he has since added Morocco, Iceland and several eastern European destinations to his professional first hand country knowledge.

Camilla Bayford - Operations Assistant
Camilla Bayford, Schools Worldwide Email Camilla

Camilla's childhood dream was to be an explorer and raft from the source of the Amazon River to the sea, so when at school she was offered the chance to join an expedition to Brazil she jumped at the chance and has never looked back. Since then she has volunteered and travelled extensively in Latin America exploring countries including Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela, Guyana, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. By making use of university holidays she was also able to visit China and Southeast Asia whilst studying Geology and later again when studying her Masters degree in Geophysical Hazards.

Camilla was able to apply this vast knowledge to become a Geography Teacher for a secondary school where she also helped run the Duke of Edinburgh Award. It was during this time that she saw the most development in her students and so became more determined to provide opportunities for outdoor learning with young people. Having successfully achieved her Mountain Leader Award Camilla joined a three month expedition to Costa Rica and Nicaragua, where she lead trekking groups of young people and project managed community and environmental projects.

Having been a teacher, expedition leader and participant Camilla's experiences have convinced her of the positive effects that experiencing challenging environments and different cultures can have on young people.
