Zambia Explorer Programmes

Either head south, to Livingstone, where trekking can be undertaken along the Batoka Gorge, next to the Zambezi, visit the Victoria Falls and the Kafue National Park, or travel north to trek across the Machinga Escarpment and into the South Luangwa National Park. Both options have great opportunities for cultural exchanges at villages, working on school projects or enjoying community homestays as well as some of the best game viewing in southern Africa.

    As an Explorer School you will travel to a harsher environment than those featured in our Adventure programmes and undertake a lengthy trek and optional activities, such as a project, to gain a full introduction to a diverse culture.
  • Experience required:
    A high level of fitness, an appreciation of the outdoor environment and interest with encountering a new culture.
  • Age of group:
    Would best suit Yr 11+ (16yrs).
  • Duration:
    14 - 21 days.
