South Africa Explorer programmes
The spectacular Drakensberg Mountains stretch for 200 miles and contain an impressive array of peaks, waterfalls, forested valleys and nature reserves. The region of the Amphitheatre is home to a massive curving wall of sandstone over which the second highest waterfalls in the world tumble. The Blyde River Canyon also provides some wonderful trekking opportunities along the length of its 35km gorge, with stunning views across the Lowveld to Kruger National Park.

- Explorer Programme: As an Explorer School you will travel to a harsher environment than those featured in our Adventure programmes and undertake a lengthy trek and optional activities, such as a project, to gain a full introduction to a diverse culture.
- Experience required: A high level of fitness, an appreciation of the outdoor environment and interest with encountering a new culture
- Age of group: Would best suit Yr 11+ (16yrs).
- Duration: 14 - 21 days.
