Romania Winter Explorer Programmes

The heavy snowfalls in northern Romania create an incredible winter wonderland for us to create an outstanding alternative to the traditional school ski trip. Ski-touring across vast stretches of Transylvania, groups will visit areas inaccessible by foot and reach meadows and valleys thick with snow, untouched and unvisited for months on end and where no other trace of human life can be seen.

  • The Explorer Programme:
    As an Explorer School you will travel to a harsher environment than those featured in our Adventure programmes and undertake a lengthy trek, in this case, a substantial ski-touring trek that will be physically demanding.
  • Experience required:
    A high level of fitness, an appreciation of the outdoor environment and interest with encountering a new culture.
  • Age of group:
    Would best suit Yr 12+ (17yrs).
  • Duration:
    10 days.
