The Namib Naukluft Park, with its low rocky mountains, provides the ideal location for groups to undertake a series of treks and acclimatise to the terrain and environment, before heading east to explore the vast Namib Desert, where Dune 45, Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon provide wonderful highlights for exploration. Further north Damaraland contains several cultural highlights including Spitzkoppe and Twyfelfontein before a safari in Etosha National Park.

  • The Explorer Programme:
    As an Explorer School you will travel to a harsher environment than those featured in our Adventure programmes and undertake a lengthy trek and optional activities, such as a project, to gain a full introduction to a diverse culture.
  • Experience required:
    A high level of fitness, an appreciation of the outdoor environment and interest with encountering a new culture.
  • Age of group:
    Would best suit Yr 11+ (16yrs).
  • Duration:
    14 - 21 days.
