Belize Explorer Programmes

The Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary provides an excellent location for acclimatisation and learning some skills for jungle living. From here you will embark upon your jungle trek, either following the course of the beautiful Indian Creek River through pristine jungle and impressive cave systems or experiencing the only pine forest in Central America, trekking in the Mountain Pine Ridge.

  • The Explorer Programme:
    As an Explorer School you will travel to a harsher environment than those featured in our Adventure programmes and undertake a lengthy trek and optional activities, such as a project, to gain a full introduction to a diverse culture.
  • Experience required:
    A high level of fitness, an appreciation of the outdoor environment and interest with encountering a new culture.
  • Age of group:
    Would best suit Yr 11+ (16yrs).
  • Duration:
    13 - 15 days.
