This is your trip and, being a tailor-made tour operator, we will work closely with you to plan an itinerary that meets your expectations and provides your group with a meaningful and adventurous learning experience.

  1. Learning Objectives

Our itineraries are developed to provide your group with a sense of purpose and for every participant to gain a sense of achievement. To ensure a fulfilling experience, we will plan your itinerary with consideration to achieving specific Primary Learning Objectives, as well as any other specific Learning Objectives that you would like your group to experience and learn from.

    Primary Learning Objectives include:

    • Learn team and leadership skills to successfully achieve a goal
    • Learn the importance of detailed planning and preparation
    • Learn about the history, culture and environment of the destination
    • Understand the lives and needs of rural communities
    • Learn about the difficulties and importance of conserving wildlife and habitat
    • Learning about the practicalities and processes associated with overseas travel
  2. Itinerary Planning

Being a tailor-made travel company our itineraries are fully flexible and developed to your specific requirements and the abilities of your group to maximise their experience and learning.

This is your trip and we treat the planning of your itinerary as a collaboration between ourselves. We will work closely with you to understand your key objectives and itinerary requirements and then, with your input, apply our experience and travel knowledge to suggest a selection of practical and appropriate itineraries to provide a life-changing experience with clear personal benefits.

  3. Fundraising

We appreciate that overseas trips such as ours require a significant financial commitment from parents and planning fundraising opportunities within the preparation phase of the trip will gain support for the trip from parents, whilst also teaching your group about the value of money.

Fundraising is a fantastic opportunity for your group to work as a team, and as a Lead Teacher we would strongly encourage you to set a fundraising target and help your group plan a variety of fundraising activities within and outside of school, to achieve that target.

It is also worth noting that in our experience, the evidence clearly demonstrates that pupils who have fundraised towards the cost of their trip play a far greater role in the trip and actively participate in all areas of the learning experience far more than those who have not.
